This Is Dela.
Dela isn't a marketplace and we don't list items. Dela is the trust layer that protects your deal after you've found a buyer or seller on Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, a uni buy/sell group, or anywhere else.
How Your Money Is Protected
Every deal runs through the same five checks. Here's exactly what happens to your money, from the second a buyer pays to the second the seller is paid out.
How Shipping Works
Once a deal is on, the item still has to get from the seller to the buyer. There are two ways to do it, and both stay tracked inside Dela.
Own Shipping
You arrange it yourselves
The buyer and seller arrange shipping themselves. The seller pays the postage and enters a tracking number from a recognised courier, so it tracks live inside Dela just like Dela Shipping.
Dela Shipping
We arrange it for you
Shipping is built into Dela. The buyer pays at checkout, StarTrack picks the item up from the seller's door, and tracking updates automatically the whole way with nothing to enter.
How Dela Keeps Deals Fair
Most deals just work. When one doesn't, real people sort it out, and your money stays put with Stripe until they do.
The buyer checks the item
Every deal ends the same way. The item arrives and the buyer looks it over.
The funds are released to the seller. That's the deal done.
The buyer gives a reason for rejecting it. The money stays secured with Stripe, so the seller isn't paid yet.
The seller responds
We pass the buyer's reason to the seller to see if they agree with it.
The buyer is refunded and it's sorted, with no further steps.
The two sides don't line up, so Dela steps in to settle it.
Dela steps in
A real person on our team reviews the evidence from both sides and makes a fair call: refund the buyer, or release the payment to the seller. Nobody loses out while it gets sorted.
Money stays secured with Stripe the entire time
